Our Story

β€˜β€˜One machine can do the work of 50 ordinary men.
No machine can do the work of one extraordinary man.’’

Glen Roberts

As an enthusiastic young man, Glen Roberts always desired to work with his hands. He grabbed every opportunity to enrich himself and soon trained and qualified as a top-class artisan. He discovered a niche in the market to establish himself as a blacksmith.

The inception of Hortus Wrought Iron followed soon after (in 1989). Here, Glen continued to excel as a master blacksmith, living out his passion through the spectacular artwork pieces that were forged by his hands in the traditional blacksmith style, with some of our equipment dating back more than a century.

Today, his legacy lives forth in the authenticity and quality of every finished product and through the high-level customer service and excellence, we continue to pride ourselves on.

Forging on
